MEMBERSHIP
Membership Benefits

Membership in FMA provides students with the opportunity to develop key skills which companies now require. In today’s environment, most firms are expecting students to possess skills and insights which are not typically acquired in the classroom. These include:
- Leadership
- Business Acumen
- Written and verbal communication
- Project planning and management

Students develop the above skills by joining FMA and working in one of the many leadership positions available. This gives students the opportunity to:

- Manage across multiple organizations by working with corporate sponsors in developing and running community service events, such as the Special Olympics, the Ronald McDonald House and Philabundance.
- Work with companies to set-up and coordinate field trips to their locations.
- Develop people management skills by managing a team of FMA members.
Other benefits from an FMA membership include:
- Attending the Corporate speaker series – weekly presentations by key finance industry executives.
- Visiting key finance industry companies and meeting with their executives. Recent visits include Prudential Financial, Lincoln Financial Group, and Vanguard.
- Participating in community service events.
